I have lived with bipolar and a sleep disorder for several years now and am finally
learning to cope, so want to share my experiences in the hope of helping others in similar situations.
I enjoy writing of all kinds and find it to be a therapeutic experience, so this blog is helping me in the long run. I also find listening to music throughout the day to be hugely beneficial for my mood and emotion. It beats silence! I play the guitar and love drumming, both of which are also therapeutic, although I don’t always have the energy, it is uplifting when I do manage.
I love all aspects of nature from the smallest mouse to the giant trees, the most gentle streams to the turbulent seas. Walking in nature is refreshing and uplifting, but most of the time I am unable to get outside. I have my garden to fall back on, though. I sit and look out the window admiring the wildlife visitors stopping by for a feed.
I have an incredible cat called Charlie. Despite living with a serious heart condition and recently been diagnosed with renal disease, he looks in amazing health and is a sweet and loving companion. I am sure our special bond is keeping each other going!
